Outfit Roundup #1

I apologize for the world's worst blog post title but alas - I could think of nothing better. I've been documenting some of my weekend outfits from the last few weeks and I wanted to share them with you. From farmer's market strolls to dinner in the city, I find myself gravitating towards simple and effortless looks. I want to be comfortable, I want to look chic, and I want to spend less than 10 minutes putting an outfit together.

Case in point - five items coming together with ease to comprise this Sunday morning look. I love the linen and lace juxtaposition in this long blouse. It was sitting in the depths of my closet for the past year until I found inspiration on Instagram to wear it again. I love finding an outfit I like on Instagram and then trying to recreate it from similar pieces in my wardrobe. The high-waisted black shorts are a great budget-friendly find from H&M last summer and I highly recommend them.

Pass the baguettes, please! This black striped top instantly made me tap into "cool French girl" mode. I love the deep V back and the red detailing. It was a Zara sale find, which makes the deal even sweeter. I paired it with the mini Cult Gaia bag in mother-of-pearl. After months of resisting, I gave in and purchased this bag. Another "Instagram made me do it" moment with zero regrets. It's eye-catching, well-made and the perfect summer/vacation accessory. I definitely recommend it and love the fact that they are available in finishes and colors other than the classic bamboo style.

This vest is easily one of my most-worn clothing items. Some websites call it a "sleeveless blazer". No matter the name, I am here to convince you that you need it in your wardrobe. It's the perfect item to throw on over a feminine outfit and it completely balances out the look. Whether you put it on over a T-shirt, a flowy dress or a soft blouse, it just works. Mine is navy blue and I found it a few years ago at my local discount department store, so I highly recommend popping into your local Marshall’s and check out their selection.
