Sunset Blushes
Want to know which blushes have been on heavy rotation for the past month? Warm, peachy coral blushes that mimic the hues of the sun as it goes down. These three shades have been getting daily attention from my blush brush.
Hermès Rose Hermès Silky Blush Powder “Rose Tan”
Like a fruit fly attracted to an overripe peach, I ordered this blush as soon as I saw the first promotional images of it. The hue does not disappoint - it is the perfect mix of warm orange and bronze on my skin. A long wearing, pigmented blush formula with a satin finish in an impeccably designed refillable compact. The “refill-ability” leaves to be desired as the pan is glued to the compact instead of being magnetized, but at the rate that I finish blushes, this shouldn’t be an issue for me for at least 5 more years. We’ll cross that bridge when we get to it, my friends!Laura Mercier Blush Color Infusion “Peach”
A simple name for a blush that is anything but. This is a stunning shimmery peachy coral that livens up the cheeks in such a beautiful, subtle way. I love how refined the gold shimmers are. I don’t find them to accentuate my skin texture or pores in an unflattering way at all. This is another strongly pigmented, long wearing blush formula. It blends on to the cheeks with ease and is a more refined version of the famous NARS Orgasm, in my opinion. Don’t sleep on Laura Mercier blushes - ever since they have been reformulated, they have been amongst the best blushes on the market. Highlighter is optional when this Peach beauty is on the cheeks.Sisley Paris Le Phyto-Blush “Coral”
The priciest of the bunch, this blush also touts skincare benefits that will improve the skin on the cheeks over time. Do I buy these claims? Not really. Is this a stunning blush that I love wearing? Absolutely. The formula is insanely soft to the touch and intensely pigmented. It blends out like a dream, almost like a cream blush. Even if I am overzealous with application, I can tone it down with ease by buffing it out with a clean brush.
